Q: Are you open?
A: We are open Monday – Friday: 12:00pm – 3:00pm and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9:00 - 11:00 am.
We encourage families needing food to come for our menu-selection, drive-through distribution. If they are not able to come themselves, delivery service is available for homebound residents of Johnson County.

Q: How is food being distributed during the Pandemic?
A: Clients can visit our drive-through operation once a week and no documentation is necessary.  Each client selects the food they want by filling out a menu with a wide variety of choices, including meats, dairy, produce, breads and canned and boxed food. People needing food will be directed to remain in their vehicle and form a queue in a clockwise direction. Barrels and bright tape help guide the vehicles. Clients will be handed a full menu to indicate their selections. They will hand their menu to a volunteer and state their name, address, and number of people in their household. Lastly, they'll advance to the exit door where their food will be placed on a table for them to load into their vehicle.

Q: How do I qualify? What income information do I need to show?
A: We encourage all individuals and families who need food to come. That includes people who earn less than 185% of the federal poverty level or individuals who have lost paychecks due to the coronavirus emergency. No income information is required; your signature is enough.

Q: Do I have to live in Johnson County?
A: During the emergency, we will serve those who need food (as outlined above) regardless of home address.  Our delivery service for homebound clients is limited to Johnson County residents only.

Q: How often can I get food?
A: We have waived our usual two times per month requirement. We expect people who truly need food to come and we will serve them.  Typically once a week meets the needs of our clients.

Q: What about volunteers?
A: We encourage anyone who wishes to volunteer to email us at pantryjcmanager@gmail.com.  Volunteers are always weclome!

This is a great time for youth to get involved at the Pantry.

Q: How can I donate at this time?
A: We thank you for your continued dedication to supporting our community at this time! Monetary donations can stretch farther (through our arrangements with food banks, grocers and other sources) and enable us to buy in bulk, supporting our menu-selection process. Checks can be mailed to:

We also gratefully accept food donations, as well as other needed hygiene items. During our regular distribution hours, donors can park in the front lot and come to the exit door at the side of the building for assistance. After hours, non-perishable items may be left in the donation shed located south of the building.
